We have finally made it HOME!! Altogether we drove about 3,000 miles! Vacations are wonderful, but there is nothing like good, old, Home Sweet Home! I thought I would show those of you who don't get to enjoy a Canadian winter, a picture of one of our rest stops on our way through the mountains. It looks like such a fun spot eh?? Thankfully when we arrived home from California there wasn't quite as much snow here!
On to the creative card I would like to share with you today. This card was inspired by a sketch posted on more than favors blogspot . While on vacation, I managed to pick up a number of embellishments, and I just love the ones I used for this card today. All are from Studio 112 designs and can be found at Joanne's Fabrics, or clicking on the Studio 112 logo. I love the spring feel of the card and how it is grounded by the brown earth stripe. The sentiments calls us to "Create", and as an artist, that is one of the things I most enjoy doing. It is the best therapy ever!
I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Very pretty card, Cathryn! I'm glad you are back home safe! That's a lot of miles to travel without incident. I'm also glad that you don't actually have as much snow as that rest stop!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous creation, love your colors and the image.

Wow, this is gorgeous! I love the soft creams with that fab green (it reminds me of summer) and how elegant the overall card is. Your eye flows across the card so naturally...great layout.
ReplyDeleteWe just had two beautiful sunny days here in southern NB, but we have 10-15cm coming on Thursday and Friday both :( I can't wait for SUMMER!!! ;)
Such a pretty card. You did a great job with the sketch. I'm your newest follower too!
