So, today I enjoyed blog hopping and found so many wonderful blogs with amazing card designers! Who knew there were so many creative and inspiring people out there!!! Thank you to all who take the time to post your beautiful work for me and so many others to enjoy!
Today, I took up another challenge and designed a Birthday card for my husband. I used papers that I had hanging around and a sketch from the Mojo Monday blog as my design. I had to eyeball the sizes of each piece I cut, and I did use my Holiday Cake cricut cartridge to cut out the circle with scallops, and the side scallop design.I added an extra special button to the circle which doesn't even begin to show it's beauty in the picture. I love to add dots and dashes to my work. I did the writing myself since I have no stamps at this time with writing on them...hmmm one day!!! It is always a challenge to make a masculine card, but I really like the way this one turned out.
I want to thank all the designers at the following blogs for all their creativity and the time they take to share their cards and comments with me and other card makers, you are angels.

Hubby's going to love his birthday card. Reminds me my hubby's birthday is coming up in a couple weeks. If I start thinking about it now, maybe I'll have a design by then. I struggle so much with the guy cards. Thanks for playing along at Cardz TV.
ReplyDeleteJeri, thanks so much for your compliment! I grew up surrounded by males! I have just finished scrapbooks for 3 of my sons, and have two more sons to make them for. I have discovered sketches, and i love to use them with the male theme....I used one for this card from Mojo Monday blog, and you can google scrapbook sketches, and probably card sketches for some fabulous idea starters...I would love to see the card you come up with for your hubby...best of luck!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great card! The burnt orange and black look fabulous together. I love the font on your sentiment - and am especially impressed that you did it by hand!
